Celebrating 500 Posts: A Journey from the Paranormal to Wellness with Sheila

“From Ectoplasm to Enlightenment: My Website’s Metamorphosis”

Year: 2012/ The Ghostly Genesis

Back in 2012, I embarked on a digital odyssey—a humble website that would soon become my canvas for exploration. Little did I know that this virtual space would be my conduit to realms beyond the mundane.

My site became my sanctuary—a place where the curious congregated. We delved into the enigmatic, dissecting EVPs, deciphering cryptic symbols, and chasing after elusive apparitions. My site thrived on the intersection of spirit and science, beliefs and skepticism. It was a haven for the cosmic wanderers, the seekers of the unseen.

500 Posts: A Journey Through the Veil

Fast-forward to today, and my website boasts 500 posts—each a testament to my insatiable hunger for knowledge. But these aren’t just ordinary articles; they’re fragments of my soul, etched in pixels and HTML. Let me take you on a spectral tour of my metamorphosis:

The Paranormal Chronicles:

My early posts were steeped in ectoplasmic intrigue. I shared EVP recordings, and debated the existence of shadow beings. The veil between worlds was thin, and I reveled in its mysteries.

The Whispering Winds of Change:

As the years passed, I felt a shift—a cosmic nudge urging me toward new horizons. The paranormal, once my muse, began to fade like a ghostly apparition at dawn. I yearned for more—a deeper purpose.

My Awakening:

The time had come for my resonation with cosmic vibrations. I shed my spectral pseudonym and stepped into the light. Sheila wasn’t just a name; I became a vessel—an embodiment of transformation.

Wellness with Sheila:

My website underwent an alchemical transformation. The paranormal archives receded, replaced by yoga, mindfulness, and holistic health. Wellness with Sheila emerged—a sanctuary for soul seekers, a refuge for those yearning to align mind, body, and spirit.

The Cosmic Curriculum: What You’ll Find Today

Conclusion: Beyond the Veil

As I pen my 500th post (actually this one is my 501st post ☺️), I honor the spectral whispers that birthed my siteIt was here, in the twilight of the paranormal, that I glimpsed eternity. And now, as Wellness with Sheila, I invite you to dance with the cosmos—to awaken the universe within.

I want to thank you all for being part of this cosmic journey!

“The Silver Lotus”

(short story by Sheila Renee Broadway)

The sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the ancient stones of the monastery. I sat cross-legged on the dew-kissed grass, my eyes closed, and my mind reaching for something beyond the veil of reality. The air smelled of incense and pine, a heady mix that seemed to pull me deeper into meditation.

For years, I had sought solace in these secluded hills, seeking answers to questions that eluded me. The monks whispered of a hidden path—one that led not to enlightenment, but to something far more profound. They spoke of realms beyond our own, where spirits danced and whispered secrets to those who dared to listen.

As I breathed in, I imagined roots growing from my spine, anchoring me to the earth. My consciousness expanded, reaching out like tendrils seeking connection. And then, it happened—the veil thinned, and I glimpsed a world beyond.

In my visions, I wandered through a moonlit grove. The trees were ancient, their bark etched with symbols I couldn’t decipher. Their leaves rustled, and I heard whispers—soft, insistent. The spirits were here, waiting to share their knowledge.

I approached a gnarled oak, its branches twisted like arthritic fingers. “Who are you?” I asked, my voice barely audible.

The wind carried the answer—a name I couldn’t comprehend. But it didn’t matter. The spirit’s presence enveloped me, filling the gaps in my understanding. It spoke of forgotten rituals, of incantations that could bend reality. And then, it revealed the key—the Silver Lotus.

The monks had never mentioned the Silver Lotus. It was said to bloom only once every century, deep within the heart of the Himalayas. Legend had it that whoever consumed its petals would gain access to the spirit world—a bridge between the mundane and the supernatural.

I set off on my quest, guided by dreams and intuition. The journey was treacherous—icy winds, avalanches, and the ever-present danger of falling into crevasses. But I pressed on, fueled by a hunger that transcended physical needs.

Finally, I stood before the Silver Lotus—a delicate flower, silver petals shimmering in the moonlight. I plucked one, hesitating for a moment. Then, I swallowed it whole.

The world shifted. Colors bled into each other, and I found myself standing in the Whispering Grove once more. But this time, the spirits were clearer, their voices urgent.

“You seek answers,” they murmured. “Ask.”

And so, I did. I asked about life, death, and the purpose of existence. They spoke of cosmic tapestries, of souls woven into patterns beyond comprehension. They showed me glimpses of other realms—of cities made of light, of beings with wings of fire.

But there was a price. The Silver Lotus had bound me to this place. I could no longer return to the monastery, to the mundane world. I was a bridge—a vessel for their whispers.

Now, I sit in the Whispering Grove, my body fading, my spirit merging with the unseen. I write these words as a testament—a guide for those who follow. Seek the hidden path, embrace the supernatural, and listen to the whispers from the veil.

For beyond the mundane lies a universe of wonder—a dance of souls, a symphony of stars. And I, the Silver Lotus, am forever entwined in its melody.

May you find your own path, my dear friends, and may the spirits guide you.

With love and gratitude,

Your guide through realms and asanas….

Changes are happening!

Yep, you read that right! Check out my site…. Super busy giving my site a makeover to embrace the changes that are happening in my life.

No more darkened monochromatic shades of black and gray. Nope! Light blues, cotton candied pinks and gold adorn my site from now on, along with new exciting pages!

Big changes are definitely happening and my site is a very special part of that! And.. It will no longer be called sheilareneeparker.com. It’s being changed to sheilareneebroadway.com because I am no longer Sheila Renee Parker. That was my married name for more than two decades. Now that I’m divorced, I’m going back to my maiden name of Sheila Renee Broadway.

Thank you all so much for being there for me! I love you dearly and am so grateful for each and every single one of you!!

I invite you to take a moment to check out the changes I’ve made here. Hope you enjoy!

Namaste! 🙏✨

“Mystique of the Silver Vines: A Dance with Haunting Secrets”

(short story by Sheila Renee Parker)

In the dimly lit ballroom, the masquerade masks concealed more than identities. Clara, drawn to an antique mask adorned with twisted silver vines, felt an unsettling chill as she fastened it to her face.

As the night unfolded, the mask seemed to merge with Clara’s expressions, distorting her features into an eerie reflection. Whispers circulated about the mask’s sinister history – tales of past wearers succumbing to a mysterious trance, forever lost in the shadows.

Dancing with an unseen partner, Clara felt a cold grip around her as the mask tightened. Desperate to remove it, she discovered an absence of clasps. Panic set in as the mask fused seamlessly with her skin, the silver vines creeping into her flesh.

As the clock struck midnight, the ballroom transformed into a grotesque spectacle. Masked figures twisted and contorted, their elegant attire unraveling into grotesque mutations. Clara, now a mere puppet to the macabre mask, joined the ghastly masquerade.

The once enchanting dance turned into a nightmarish waltz, the music discordant and haunting. The masked throng moved with unnatural grace, their distorted faces locked in an eternal grimace. Shadows whispered secrets as the grotesque masquerade claimed its latest victim.

As dawn approached, the ballroom returned to stillness, the grotesque figures freezing in place. Only the eerie echoes of a twisted melody lingered, and the cursed mask lay in wait for its next unwitting wearer, ensuring the masquerade of horrors would continue its dreadful dance.

Interview with Rein & Luna of Spookynatural Podcast

Today I’m welcoming Rein and Luna of Spookynatural Podcast. Thank you, Rein and Luna for stopping by!

Can you tell us a little about yourselves and your podcast?

Luna: I’m Luna, which is a fake name I use for safety reasons. I was born in Mass and moved to the south when I was 9 or 10. Rein is my best friend of almost 16 years. I have two little monsters, a daughter (15), and also a son (6). I have a wonderful boyfriend of 10 years and we live around Greenville, SC. Our podcast to me is a goofy, spooky/true crime podcast where we also tell our own stories and even bring awareness to some touchy subjects.

Rein: Yes, my name is also a moniker to help keep Luna’s secret, although because of my family’s religious background, I also appreciate the anonymity because of things we talk about. I’m from Mass as well and moved down to SC about 16 years ago, which is when we met! I’ve got a 14 year old nonbinary child and also a sweet boyfriend of 2 years. When people ask about the podcast, I always say we tell spooky stories with laughs along the way! We got the name by putting the spooky and supernatural together, and of course we’re also huge fans of the show Supernatural!

Why the paranormal?

Luna: As long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the dark, spooky, creepy stuff. I love everything paranormal, except demons or evil spirits. I’m not ok with them haha!

Rein: Same basically, I’ve always loved it since I was a tiny child. My mother would make me watch scary movies with her, which she hates when I say that but she did! Lol My favorite dark creature is vampires, I saw Interview with the Vampire when I was like 4 and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I’ve always just been fascinated with death and things like ghosts. I think because neither of us are religious, it’s like trying to find the truth about if there is anything for us after we die.

What kind of guests do you have on your show?

Luna: Well since we are still new, the closest thing to guests we have are Rein’s cats and dog!

Rein: haha It’s true, sometimes they can be heard in the background, but I take out as much of their shenanigans as I can!

What’s the most interesting story you’ve heard?

Luna: The most interesting topic we’ve had so far in my opinion would be episode 4, about fairies! I never knew there were so many types, I can’t wait to dig deeper!

Rein: That was a really fun episode! I really love telling legends and stuff from different cultures around the world. I also love to learn about things like the Brown Mountain lights from our 3rd episode. It’s a legit phenomenon with lots of proof of their existence throughout hundreds of years that scientists can’t explain. I’m the skeptic of the show, so when science is brought in and they’re just like “I dunno man” lol It really gets me!

Have either of you ever experienced the paranormal?

Luna: Yes, I’ve had encounters with ghosts, premonitions, and scary intuition. Scary as in… I’m always right.

Rein: I’ve had some weird unexplainable things happen. We’ve shared our stories in the episodes too. But like I said I’m the skeptic so Luna will tell me uh yes that was a ghost, and I’m always like ehh, it could have been something else!

Skeptic or believer, what would you say to both?

Luna: Skeptic: Keep an open mind on the subject. You might be surprised on what is really out there waiting to be found!

Believer: Welcome to the dark side! Haha just kidding, but for real be safe out there. Enjoy the magical wonders you find. I’m 100% a believer!

Rein: To the skeptics, I say, I get it! But I find it fun and fascinating to research these topics and keep the wonder alive. I may be skeptical, but I absolutely want the paranormal stuff to be real! To the believers, it’s great to have the imagination, but also make sure you take everything with a grain of salt. Not everything weird that happens is supernatural, unfortunately.

Where can listeners find your show, Spookynatural Podcast? And what is the show’s schedule?

We’re on all the podcast platforms; Spotify, Apple podcasts, Speaker, iHeartRadio, Amazon, wherever you listen, we should be there! Our new episodes drop every Monday!

Where can fans/ listeners follow you?

We’re on tiktok @spookynatural.pod and X @SpookynatPod and then you can search the podcast name for Instagram and our Facebook group too.

Any words of wisdom?

We just wanna say keep it spooky y’all!

Interview with paranormal investigator, Craig M.!

Today I’m welcoming Craig M., lead paranormal investigator of Our Paranormal World. Thank you, Craig for stopping by!

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and got to live all over Canada growing up. I actually went to more schools than grades which afforded me many experiences although I wouldn’t recommend growing up that way. I was always the new kid so always the target for bullies.

However, I did get to see a lot of Canada – and the United States as my parents were avid travelers – while I was growing up and I’ll be forever thankful for that.

Why did you become a paranormal investigator?

My last years living at home with my parents we lived in Victoria, British Columbia which is absolutely gorgeous – a beach was a 10 minute walk for me – but also one of Canada’s most haunted cities. This was in the 80’s so people were in their full Satanic Panic mode bringing the paranormal into mainstream life. There, literally, used to be people with signs in downtown Victoria saying come and join our Satan Cult lol.

A book was published during this time too supposedly chronicling a girl’s story after she was sold to a Satanic Cult called ‘Michelle Remembers”. It took place in Victoria so all the places in the book were easily accessible. You can imagine how fast teenagers consumed this book. In the end the book was proved fraudulent but it became a must for every teenager in Victoria to read.

The paranormal stayed with me but I didn’t become an actual paranormal investigator – meaning purposely going to haunted locations – until the late 90’s. By that time I was back in Ontario and began with the Province’s most haunted area; the area around Niagara Falls and locations such as the Screaming Tunnel, Blue Ghost Tunnel, Erie Beach and the 19th century forts – Erie, George and Mississauga.

Do you have a favorite location?

During the time I was really starting out there was a Holy Grail location just east of Toronto that was an old psychiatric hospital. Rumours said it was impossible to access that security was tight and it was surrounded by 10 foot fences etc. One day a friend of mine and I drove out to the site to see for ourselves and found the rumours were anything but the truth. So began my relationship with Whitby Psychiatric Hospital which was like Disneyland for paranormal investigators. Over 25 buildings on a huge campus it was much like an abandoned small town.To this day it is the most paranormally active place I’ve ever investigated.I was there almost every night for about a year and really learned how to investigate the paranormal. I also learned about my own skills as a medium. Unfortunately it has since been demolished and houses built over the site.

What’s the most bizarre otherworldly experience you’ve ever encountered?

Whew that’s a tough one. The first time I ever let a spirit inside me. I’m a conscious medium – I’m not sure if that’s the right term but its the one I use – so I’m aware when someone else is sharing my body; its rather like watching a movie inside your own head. My experience with this was a teenage girl named Kaitlyn in one of the adolescent buildings at Whitby Psych. I saw the world as she did so the site back in another time when it was fully operational which was strange enough. Looking down my body was an even bigger shock as I’m definitely not used to having breasts haha that was a very bizarre experience.

Can you describe the most frightening case you’ve ever investigated?

I investigated a cemetery where a regiment of snipers from the War of 1812 was buried. Every second we were there you could feel them in the surrounding forest lining up the back of your head for a kill shot. They were not interested in communication or being investigated just in doing their job. It’s the first and only time I’ve felt the energy that someone gives off when they are getting ready to kill you. As you can imagine its not pleasant at all. Eventually they began to get closer and we left the site the energy had became so unpleasant.

I was also picked up and thrown against a tree by a dark entity when I first started doing investigations. I had no protection against negative energy at the time. I never made that mistake again.

Do you feel that all spirits are bad?

Absolutely not.

For ghosts its the same ratio as between good and bad people. If you were a nasty person in life you’re a nasty ghost and vice versa.

As for entities that are not and never were human; yes I’ve come across lots of them and yes some of them I would consider evil. Imo the universe is balanced between good and bad on all levels

Being a paranormal investigator, do you follow a certain routine while investigating and how do you protect yourself from anything negative?

The physical world is far more apt to hurt you then the metaphysical so my first action in every investigation is to fully map out the area and make sure I’m aware of any dangers. Generally I don’t do a lot of research on places I’m going to investigate as it can mess with the results. I will then use my ability to sense energy to identify areas with etheric energy and possible paranormal activity. Then I attempt to verify my senses with equipment

I also like to go through a site in daylight first especially in an abandoned building so I can see all the dangers

As for protection for against negativity its become second nature to me now but basically I surround myself in gold light and ask my high guide as well as any other positive forces in the universe to help which up to the individual – personally I’m closest to the Egyptian and Native American powers (and my recent trip to Ireland brought me much closer to the Celtic powers).

What’s your favorite piece of paranormal equipment to use and why?

I’d say the voice recorder as it picks up so much that we cannot hear with our limited human hearing. I try to interact with the spirits as much as possible as the intelligent and aware ones are a wealth of information much of which can sometimes only be heard through a recording.

I’m just beginning to use a spirit box which, when it works, would be far superior as the answers are in real time. The biggest downfall of a voice recorder is that by the time you hear the answers the ghost has probably moved on.

Any words of wisdom you’d like to share?

Those of us who are serious paranormal investigators make a big deal about well being serious lol. The truth is you can still have fun as long as you’re respectful and taking the gathering of evidence seriously. Always remember ghosts were once living people and need to be treated as such. You wouldn’t run up to a stranger in the street, shove a microphone in their face and start taking pictures of them and blast them with questions. Ego has no part in paranormal investigating. As for purposely antagonizing ghosts on purpose I wish there was a way to punish people who do this – no true investigator would do this without a very good reason to do so. I’ve spent hundreds of hours at haunted locations calming the ghosts down after some idiot did this.
